Project Update 7: Checkpoint 1
For this week, I planned to do 3 prototypes with feedback. I did talk to a few people and document my process in slides. I should do this more often since documenting things (both writing and drawing) can make my thoughts clearer.
As the lunch buddy concept gets more positive feedback, I decided to take this idea further by making clickable prototypes to test next week. But at the same time, I will still show future interviewees my other concepts to see if there are potentials.
After the checkpoint session, I was thinking about why I am still a little bit uncertain about where I am. My temporary conclusion is that the reason is not because of my ideas (since I still have time to validate and modify my concepts), but instead might just be the natural working style of thesis-- being uncertain to things due to the lack of requirements. Questioning myself if I have done enough sometimes might make me feel hesitant to go on to the next step. Hopefully, I will get used to this kind of self-motivated working style, embrace ambiguity, and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience of having so much freedom during work.
For next week, I plan to finish up the the clickable prototype for the lunch buddy concept, continue developing other concepts I have now, and talk to people to validate ideas.
